Fin de semana en la nieve - Weekend in the snow

El pasado fin de semana fui con un grupo de amigos al Tirol austriaco, a un valle donde la gente va a esquiar. Nunca había esquiado en mi vida, pero me dije a mí mismo "¿por qué no?" y me apunté. En el peor caso, mucha gente y diversión, y no tengo ningún problema en pasar el día simplemente paseando o leyendo un libro. No sabía si debía intentar esquiar, ya que mis rosillas me siguen molestando, pero el Sábado decidí ir a un curso de principiantes. Una amiga de las que vino se había apuntado, lo cual de alguna manera me animó a ir. ¿Qué puedo decir? Lo primero, soy realmente malo... me estaba cayendo todo el tiempo, no podía ni siquiera controlarme de pies, me sentí incluso avergonzado... Al final fue mejor, me podía mantener de pies y no me caía más, incluso esquiar un poco (¡en una piesta para niños!), pero el Domingo tenía agujetas en todas partes, me dolían las rodillas, tenía quemaduras de sol... Bueno, el aspecto positivo es que no hay fotos, jeje. Y en cualquier caso, el fin de semana fue realmente bonito, me encantó, simplemente me di cuenta de que el esquí no es lo mío :)

Last weekend I went with a group of friends to the Austrian Tyrol, to a valley where people go to sky. I had never skied in my whole life, but I said to myself "why not?" and I joined. In the worst case, many people and fun, and I have no problem to spend a day just walking around or reading a book. I didn't know if I should try to sky, since my knees keep on bothering me, but on Saturday I decided to go to a beginner's course. One of the friends that came had already joined, so somehow it encouraged me to go. What could I say?? First, I'm really bad... I was falling down the whole time, I couldn't even controle to stand, I even felt ashamed... In the end it was better, I could stand and not fall anymore, even sky a little bit (in a children's pist!), but on Sunday, I had muscle soreness everywhere, my knees were hurting me, I had sun burns... Well, the positive aspect is that no pictures were taken, jeje. And anyways, the weekend was really nice, I enjoyed it, I just realized that skying is not my business :)
